They advertise those training seminars on TV. It's not an easy thing to do and you will make some mistakes in the learning process. Keep in mind that any money that is made, you must deduct the value of a good nights sleep, because that's something that you will definitely lose.
i don't think your answer can be answered in a few sentenses. i recommend you read some books on day trading, and do some research on a daily life of a day trader. see if that fits your personality. good luck

But one thing to remember, is that you must maintain a minimum of $25,000 in your trading account to pattern day trade.(pattern day trading is executing same day buy and sales 4 or more times in rolling 5 day peiod)... this is an SEC rule and cannot be bypassed. if you are tagged as a pattern day trader and don't have the $25,000 in your account, your broker limits you to sell orders only for about 60 days.

First of all, to be a true day-trader you have to keep a minimum balance of at least $25,000 dollars in your brokerage account. This probably eliminates most beginners.
Secondly, unless you can sit at your computer all day monitoring stocks from open to close you will lose the day-trading game. Day-trading is a professional investors game not a basic investors game. Very few people sitting at home will make a living day-trading.
