I have a patented idea that will cost a lot of money to produce and market?
I have tried calling many places seeking interested parties and/or investors with no success. So far the most common response is something like (it sounds good but I don't fund any projects, or I'll be happy to help you if you hire me). I do not have a prototype. I can not afford to produce my project. I will need multi engineer assistance, and RDIF semiconductor manufacturing to make it.
Does anyone have any suggestions and/or ideas of who or how I should go about getting my idea marketed. You do not know all the details, so assuming it were as good as I think it is, how should I approach this task?
I thank you for any suggestions. Alexander Villarreal
Answer:
You'll need to develop a business plan.
Then you will seek a venture capitalist.
Be aware, you will have to give up control of your invention, and give away most of the working interest, assuming you find someone interested enough to take control.
Find someone to back you that has money or can get a large laon and agree to split the profits with them.
first of all, you said RDIF.. I assume you mean RFID..
An "idea" is only that. I have an "idea" that laptop batteries should last for 48 hours.. I have no way to do it, I need engineering assistance, and manufacturing help. wait.. wha??
file a proviosnal patent on your own then with the help of an attorney or a patent company, market the idea to potential investors. look for investor sites where you can post an add with a very brief discreption of what you are looking for, not the actual idea
Don't just call your propect investors, write them a proposal. Make a presentation.
