What are "hawkish" and "dovish" comments?

What does this 2 words mean in the context of finance?

Answer:
When I hear the terms "hawkish" and "dovish" I usually associate it with executives and central banker's centiments towards future economic outlook. An example of this would be if Ben Bernanke gives "dovish" comments on inflation it would indicate the Fed is less likely to adjust interest rates where as if he makes a "hawkish" comment he is more likely to adjust them or he wants people to proceed with caution.
hawks tend to be more aggresive, doves passive

in finance, a hawk would be more interested in aggressive growth stocks, whereas a dove would go after dividends.
