A question about USPS tracking system.plz help?

Hi,
I ve bought an item online and when ever I go to check the tracking number on USPS.com it keeps telling me that the electronic info has been received and thats it. Does that mean I wont be able to track my item? Or what does that mean, plz tell anything you have to say about this...thanks

Answer:
OK, with usps (the Post Office), the tracking number is entered and the next information you will get is when it is delivered. This will not necessarily show up until the day AFTER it is delivered. This tracking is most helpful to the sender as it proves when and if the package was delivered. It doesn't really tell the recipient much except that it's on its way.

With UPS (United Parcel Service), the tracking number will actually show you where the package was at its last scanned point. This is much more useful to the recipient (and with UPS you are insured up to $100 without any extra cost)
USPS tracking system is a joke
only tells you when its delivered
the USPS does not "track" anything. It does however provide "delivery confirmation." It doesn't track each stop, it just tells you when it is delivered.
