AIC Designation?

Has anyone here earned the AIC designation?
Was the program and testing difficult?
Does it simply look good on business card/resume or has it made you a better adjuster?
Do you recommend self study or classes?

Answer:
It is always good to pursue professional designation. Yes, it does look good to have an alphabet behind your name.

Whether or not it is worth it to get your AIC depends on whether you plan on staying in claims. Most of the people I know that are in claims, don't plan on staying there so they pursue an ARM or CPCU designation.

Also, classes are good to take because they help keep you on track as far as studying and reading the chapters. It nice if they count for CE credits as well.
