For the publicity more than anything else. It made you think about it enough to ask that.

Because they maybe a an actor or actress, model, etc. If they are in an accident where they are disfugured then they have lost that source of income.
In most cases is pretty darn high if they are insuring their smile, so that is how they would recieve added compensation for the injury that could possibly cause them to have to start and new career.
A model won't get too many jobs with a scarred up mouth.
