My mother is quite sick and she lives abraod and I have not visited her from last 10 years due to my illness. She wants me to come and visit her as she feels she may not live to long. It breaks my heart as I am very worried about her.But I'm scared to contact my insurance company, any thoughts on this, I will really appreciate.

Why would they ever pay lost wages? You don't have a claim! Sorry, take vacation time to visit your mother!! She's your MOTHER. It's worth your vacation time.

Disability coverage only covers lost wages while injured,it does not Finance vacations; paid for by us working stiffs.See if a bank would loan you money based on disability alone.
