I am a claims representative, and It is very very busy and stressful. I recommend becoming an agent if you want to make money. I like the fact that people are only yelling at me over the phone and not face to face, but I dislike the fact that people are yelling at me. I make way less than an agent and have to deal with many more stressful situations.
I love working in insurance. I do primarily large commercial property/casualty.
I HATE FILING.
Insurance companies peddle fear and there is plenty of fear to go around.
The doctors are peddling snake oil they call meds.
The politicians are peddling lies.
