Do you HAVE to get through medicaid through SSD?
I've been told that that's the only way to get Medicaid is to get to SSD.
Sure I get tired but I can do stuff others can do. I may get stressed out but I got meds to help me out on that.

Wow. MEDICAID is purely about your income. Medicare is what you become eligible for, when you turn 65, or are disabled enough to qualify for SSDI.
Feel free to apply for either or both; if you qualify, they'll let you know.
You should be able to apply for Medicaid at your local human service agency. In most states there are a variety of ways to get Medicaid, mostly based on income. You would fill out an application and then you would get a letter telling you if you are eligible or not.
If you are disabled and qualify for SSD or SSI, you will auto. get medicaid. If not you can still get medicaid based on your assets or wages. Somebody told you wrong. Go to DHS, apply for ADULT medicaid and try that. If you choose to apply for disability hire a lawyer and PRAY you get it within your lifetime.
