Hello. being a new business I would not have you go off and hire. however if business booms and calls for you needing an assistant then look. I would suggest someone in their mid 20's to early 30's. preferably someone with a family. no experiance is needed as on the job training is the best! You can mold someone just how you would like them.
You need an assistant from the word go, you need someone to take calls and do some work whilst you are out.
Suggest older person, 40+ pref female who is polite and a good telephone manner
Sounds like you need someone like me.I am 22 years old, but mature for my age. Been doing insurance for 5 years. Very good phone skills and office etiquette. This person must know almost everything in the office incase you are not there. I would hire a female around my age, 22-30, with a few years experience.
It is a good idea to have a staff person in the begining because you will be spending your time quoting people. The staff person should have some basic sales knowledge as well as customer service and computer experience.
