Should I be licensed/bonded to do PC repair from my home?

Answers:
Most people don't bother, but keep in mind, your homeowners policy doesn't cover you, OR the property in your care, custody, and control.

A bond or liabiltiy policy is NOT going to guarantee the quality of your work, OR repair damage that you do to a pc while working on it.
I have a good friend that started in his house and now has a shop out side of the house. He is not bonded. You will have problems from people wanting some thing for nothing. the first 2 months he was doing all kinds of free extras, Once he stop that he started making a good living. he had over 800 costumers the first year, when ever there is a problem he always replaces , no matter what, Even if the person is wrong, that s the way he does it. it may not be for you,, He is licensed btw
Your expertise and experience is the only requirement. It is not neccesary to be licensed but it helps. Bonded...no. If he has an office in his house then Liability coverage is always good if he has customers to and fro.

It all depends.
