Is it hard to get your Personal Lines Insurance License?
Answers:
Well, that's a relative question. I don't know of any state that just does a "personal lines" license - most have either property/casualty, or life accident health. So you'd need a property casualty, which INCLUDES personal AND commercial.
I never had a hard time passing, but I had six months of agency CSR experience before I took the test, so I knew stuff already.
Hints - study HARD. KNOW all the material. PASS the practice exams - if you can't pass a practice exam, you won't pass the real one. Look at all the questions, and know not just why the right answer is right, but exactly WHY the WRONG answers are WRONG.
And get lots of rest the two nights before the exam.
MN has a license that is only good for personal lines. The best thing to do is study hard and take lots of practice tests. Also make sure that you read each word in every question, they throw stuff in to make a question confusing.

I took it in IL and passed the first time. We actually had someone come to the office and help up study for it. It's a lot of info and you definitely have to prepare for it, but it's managable.
