I am an Australian pilates instructor who has just moved to the UK. Do i need public Liability to teach?

i understand that if i work as a sole trader i would need it, but do i need it if i work under an employee who has me on their books e.g a gym? and is there a special public liability i can get because im not a permanent resident? and if i need to get it who provides the best and cheapest cover?

Answer:
your employer will have to have public liability

and if you do need to get it Zurich Insurance
your employer will be insured and is responsible for checking you're properly qualifyed etc so relax and enjoy the british rain :-)
If you are employed then definately no. However, as you know you must have it if not classed as an employee. Try the large companies like Norwich Union, Sun Alliance, otherwise go to a broker and see what deal they can get for you
If you are an employee you would be covered
whats a pilates instructor
