Can a Japanese buy US life insurance policy?
Answer:
Almost certainly. But not every insurance company will write the policy; ask a broker. It is best not to apply for a policy unless you have reason to think you'll be accepted: there is exchange of information on rejects, and it's also a question on the application -- whether you have previously applied for insurance.
sure, why not..
Do you have a passport? If so you can get the company to be the actual policy owner of the policy. Check out NewYorkLife.com, that is who I work for and we have a client in Japan.
Not 100% sure but I do not think that you can buy life insurance from a company only operating in USA. The look for Social Security no.. and a lot of other stuff.
If you reside in Japan but own a company in the US it would seem like you can have insurance, but you have to be working full-time (25+ hours a week) in order to be eligible for insurance. Why don't you get life insurance in Japan?
