Does anyone know an online place to be a licenced and bonded electrician? Preferebly in Ohio?

I live in Perry County, Southeastern Ohio, between Zanesville & Athens. I inquired into this just a couple of weeks ago. In Ohio you need not be a journeyman or master electrician to get a license and the only license required is an everyday business license that you would get for any business. You get that from your local courthouse. As far as bonding goes, you may not be able to get that unless you are a journeyman or master electrician or unless you want to pay more than you earn, it is insurance. A lot of customers will ask if you are bonded. (I say "No but I've been doing this for 22 years and haven't burned down anyone's house yet). The only problem you may have is some counties will not issue permits or approve inspections unless the work is done by a journeyman or master electrician, and the only way you can become that is by working for someone who is for 5 years or more. Me, I'm a free lance handyman and an excellent electrician but I can not become a journeyman or master because I've only worked for me. Good luck.
Licensing is with your locality. Why would an electrician need to be bonded? In any case, with bonds you need to be there in person to sign the application, just like with insurance. You'll need to find a local agent to get you the policies you want.
