The most effective way to prepare a speech for anyone is to discuss the topic with the speach giver and then do a thorough fact finding on the topic. Create an outline of the subject and the points that need to be addressed. As you do your research on the topic and get the data (if there are facts and figures that need to be address) place them in the outline. The outline will give you a good overall picture of where to begin and where to go with the subject matter then all you do is pretty it up with words ( try to make them as natural as possible to the party giving the speech) and input the info and data into the body as you go.
