yes and after a year I actually called the 800 # and needed help w/ some crazy x husband stuff and there was no one in my area that could help so I canceled it
its kind of a , "just in case you ever need it" deal, i paid $30/week and than if I ever needed a lawyer, all or most of it is paid, Its almost like having a lawyer on retention.
my husband and I where in it for a while, we called and spoke to several lawyers about a problem. they where all so stupid and did not know what they where talking about, so we quit. don't waste your money. we knew more than the lawyers and most likely you will also. they never have a lawyer near your home.
It's like having health insurance, but its for legal services. Basically, you pay the membership fee. That entitles to you free or low cost consultations, certain flat fee rates, and a set hourly rate (which is lower than the attorney's usual going rate) when you use a lawyer that is participating in the plan. However, these services are usually limited and there's usually a cap on how many services you can get during the year.
Great place for crappy legal advice. Most of the attorneys are fresh off the bar exam, with little or no practical experience.
If you want to spend your money on something with little to no return, you can send it to me and I will write non-sensical rantings about whatever I had for breakfast and what not.30 bucks a month.not a bad deal, really.
