Anyone has anything to say about N.A.S.E (national insurance for self employed?
Answer:
I can tell ya from real life experience that they are a legitimate health insurance company. They will butter you up on the front end with what might appear to be fairly attractive premiums but they will stick it to you come renewal time. I have found a much better program way cheaper.

I was able to get a policy through Blue Cross Blue Shield that's called the AffordaBlue. Designed to fit both a family's budget and health care needs, AffordaBlue offers preventive and catastrophic benefits.
If you are in the USA, search for "Blue Cross Blue Shield (your state)"
it's overpriced and has a hidden schedule of benefits
N.A.S.E., stands for National Association for the Self Employed. It is the marketing arm for MEGA Life and Health. Do a search for complaints with your state department of insurance. Also you can go to www.businessweek.com and do a search using "it's enough to make you sick". There is a great article about 1 families experience. The article makes it sound like MEGA scammed the family however MEGA only paid what they were contracted to pay. There was no bait and switch. Unfortunately what the client thought they were buying and what they actually bought were not the same. Re: the blue cross suggestion, Blue cross has excellent coverage in the Group market, however the limitations on the coverage for individuals could leave a family with the same problems as in the business week article. I am an independent health agent. My family is insured through the National Business Association. www.nationalbusiness.org
