hi Bhim,
The ULIPS - money plus and
Market plus are the hot selling products in LIC.
regarding profit for policy holder, it is very low comparing to other corporates.
for eg.
for 10thousand annual premium,
the sum assured in LIc is 1 lakh
ICICI -2 lakh
in BAJAJ it is 3 Lakhs

the charges that LIC levied to the policy holder is also heavy.
eg ; Allocation charges for the ULIPs
LIC- money plus - 26.5% charges
ICICI - 20%
BAJAJ- capital gain policy- 5% only
see how much the policy holder loose their amount in LIC.

Real benefit for the customer is to go for companies other than LIC and go through corporate agents who in turn giving lot of referral bonuses. I invested 10thousand in march2007 for my Bajaj capital gain policy. I got around 10 thousand as referral bonus within 2 months from corporate agents. still the referral bonus are flowing in to my account every week. Here is the real profit for policy holders. want more details ?

I am an astrologer. Can somebody tell me my future?
there is no profit to the policy holder...in almost 100% of all cash value . if you do get back any cash value you pay for inside the contract. it is terrible that cash value agents forget to tell you one little word nestled between the cash and the value. it is surrender. When you take out the cash value, the insurance policy terminates.SURRENDER means give up. take that cash value and buy term, invest the difference
