Some state have their court records online. That is probably the only free background check you'll get.
on the internet. check with your local clerk of courts office.
Honestly i don't know about any free one's that you can personally get. But whatever business your going to usually gets them done and they really don't concern you to much, they just do it and go from there. Free one's I don't know? Sorry

What you can do is search public records by name and vicinities visited and lived in. spent your life if Canada silly to search arrest records in Thailand.
County courthouses and law enforcement and other sources of public records are either free or for slight fees(gauranteed if hardcopy desired).
Little in life is free. you get what you pay for. there are still some privacy laws. most records lost or choatic!
And biggest(well NOT biggest) rip off on net are those back ground check services. They simply access computer records that are possible for you to search for free. guess you could say you pay them to check those(if they check) for you but a state or country with those records accessible hardly helps you if that person has never been there!
And 'some' hits on background checks simply mean they have a license or deed or title or similar names.
