What can i do if my employer is late on paying me for weeks?
Answer:
When going under, no matter what, a company HAS to pay its employees. I would see an attorney. Your company is working unlawfully.
you should talk to who's in charge of the company.
if it is a big company, get the corporate offices involved and notified that this is going on.
Its wrong.
Get yourself a lawyer, and get your money.
find a new job and take him to court. He's violating the terms of the agreement made when he hired you.
Tell your employer you need payed or your getting them in trouble. Not paying employees is illegal!
Demand the money! It's yours, you worked hard for it.
Or you can tell the chief boss whats going on and get that pain-in-the-neck off his butt and on his way to you. I bet when he gives ya the money, 1,000,000,000,000 bucks will be in one hand, and in the other will be a grey-slip. (Pink slips for work lol)
File a complaint with the department of labor. dol.gov.
Also file with your state.
I wouldnt let your employer go too long without paying you
Contact the local labor board, and, the bank that the checks are written from.
.
Tell him to pay up!
i would be contacting the human resources department in the company you work for, if that doesn't get you anywhere I suggest contacting a lawyer immediately. Your employer is screwing you totally over.
If you are good terms with your employer, and you are not the only one who is owed back pay, consult, or confront your supervisor or boss, firmly but nicely. And be sure to ask when is the soonest you can expect to be paid. Some times they may cut you a partial check, just be sure you keep track of your hours and what you are paid and what you are owed. If you are not on good terms, or the distance between you and the payroll department is many steps in the hierarchy, and the chance of you seeing any money any time soon, is slim and none, I suggest you look in the government section of the phone book and call the Labor Department. They will be able to direct your best course of action from there.
