You need to check to make sure the name is not in use at present. Contact the trade mark registry oranisation for the UK - their website contains lots of the information you'll need - http://www.patent.gov.uk/tm/
You would have to check with the Patents Office!
I have actually registerred a trademark. Simply go to http://www.uspto.gov/teas/index.html. and follow the instructions. It costs I think $270 to file. Good luck! This would be a US Trademark, You may have to add an overseas trademark to it for an additional fee.
You should always do a search to make sure you don't infringe on someone else's tm. The trademark search is free, go to:
