I'm currently based in Thailand and need a PayPal account. However, it is limited here - I need a U.S. bank account in order to be able to withdraw money. Does it mean I have to open a bank account here in any U.S. bank or they meant something else? There's plenty of info on the Net, but it's all confusing and some is outdated. Has anybody actually used PayPal in Thailand and how the hell does it work here?

Notice Date: August 10, 2006
Effective Date: September 14, 2006
Beginning September 14, 2006, registered PayPal users in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Thailand will be able to receive funds into their PayPal accounts as well as withdraw them to a local bank account.

I can only say, that when I use QXL and sell things I also have buyers from Thailand. And they pay with paypal also.
