Help!! If you like tough ones this ones for you. Mom left all to step father who died be for her under alias.?

While my mother was married to Antonio, he was the beneficiary of her Openhiemer fund. They separated after he was released from Federal prison. He changed his name and reemerged. He died under this name, doctor who cared for him knows that he died under the alias. Won't give any information confidentiality. My mother believed that her children were going to get this money. Can anyone give me some help? Told you it was tough, but it's the truth. Have you ever had one of those days?? Well I'm having one of those lives. I didn't know where to put this.

Answer:
I would check with an attorney but being as to how he has died and he died before your mom then her heirs should be the ones who recieve the fund. They may be able to court suppena the records to get the information.
You need to contact an attorney - this is too complex for Yahoo! Answers.
Try to find any document where shows that
he changed the name. If not, you will need
a lawyer so you can get medical records and
also he can help you with the funds.
"Antonio" would still be the legal beneficiary, regardless of whether he changes his name or not as his person is the substance of the contract and not name. Whether his name was changed or not is a clerical issue. Any spouse or family that Antonio may have had after the separation would be the legal beneficiaries after Antonio's death. If none, then you are.
You are really screwed. There’s no hope of ever getting that house on the hill, 2.3 kid average family, the SUV to get to the grocery store. You just as well surrender to Supplemental Security Income and public housing. Get used to walking or riding the bus and, a life of poverty and shame. You are unfit to manage your own life.
And, I might add as a caution, look out for the State hospital. They’ve got a place for eight-balls like you!
