Please Answer! Is it a scam or not?

I got an e-mail from Swiss Lotto, when I check it out in the web, and one link told me about a past winner. I got this e-mail, and I think it may be a scam, because I have like, two or three e-mails from Africa, claiming they wanted to give me money. I am only, like, in seventh grade,or primary six. I've told my mum about it, but really, is it a scam?

PS: I have some doubts about this, can anyone tell me what is it? (If you have maybe received this kind of e-mails, tell me what you did)

Answer:
Girl friend it's a scam. There are so many country's in Africa playing games. Nigeria and Ghana are the biggest. You can add India too just delete emails like that. Blessings
I wouldn't bother to open it Believe me no one gives you something for nothing, especially when it comes to money.
Have you bought a ticket at swiss lotto in the past? If not, it would be scam.
They are definitely a scam. Don't get taken. Ignore it.
Scaaaaammm.
If it sounds too good to be true, it'sascam.

I believe to play the Lotto (Anywhere) you have to be at least eighteen years old.

You're not.

Therefore. Scam.
Of course. it is a scam.
Scamsssssss. Just report it to spam. Do not open it.
It's a scam alright. When you receive junk mail like that, just delete it. Do not even open it, you don't know what kind of virus and things in there.

Cheers, Mr West
Scam! Huge scam. Don't get taken in.
Don't be conned - ignore the email. I get plenty in my mailbox - hit the delete button. quickkkkkkkk.
Hell yes it's a scam. Don't ever open those type of e mails. Something to remember is, "If something seems to good to be true it usually is"
hi,
no time to read have a nice day...
To be sure, check the spelling and grammar. Anyone contacting you with such information will be a business person and should be proficient in your language. If you aren't sure, have someone else look at the correspondence. If it's a scam, it's from a lowlife with a poor or below average education. The spelling and grammar will always give them away.
No doubt its a scam.
Technically it is called Phishing.
If it's true then: don't forget me, I'm your long lost best-est friend who is a bit skint now.

If it's not then: Ha Ha!

(it is a 'Scam Spam')
It is a SCAM don't even open it. Even if you did or didn't report it as spam. DON'T give them ANY information about you or your family.
i received some once. maybe about 8-10 emails like that. they said that u win a lottery or someone will die and u'll get the assets. if you reply, they'll ask for your name, address, bank account anything bout your id, even they give you a win certificate.
I'M TELLING YOU, SOME OF THEM IS SCAMS, AND THE OTHER JUST A MONEY LAUNDRY. SOME of them will ask u to pay administration fee, if it's in a big number, than it's a scam, if it's in small number, than it's a money laundry. the money laundry. they really pay u ammounts of money and then u have to transfer about 60-80% of back.
GOT IT ?!
Well if you are in SG, you can report this to the police and print the email and show it to police.
i have been receiving such mails for the last one decade, it's all a scam, ignore it.
Your instincts are right. These kind of things are scams. The "Swiss Lotto" email is a fake, all the emails from Africa are scams, and any check they send would be a forgery. You will see a lot of these, and anything where anyone wants to send you a check to cash or anything like that is a scam. Delete these things immediately.
these mails are in every inbox everyday! just ignore them, mark them as spam and dont even think about them coz dats wat most sensible ppl do..nd dose who dont end up getting duped of their hard earned money!
