Please help a brotha out?
Answer:
Tell the bank it was a fraudulent transaction and the bank can reverse the debit. I have done this. Explain that the website told you the transaction was denied three times, yet debited your account anyway. The bank will be able to undo the transaction and put the money back into your account in a day or so.
I had ordered something online once and had the purchase debited from my checking account. When the seller refused to communicate with me I went to the bank and told them I suspected fraud. The amount of the transaction was about $650. The bank was able to snatch this back from the seller's bank account and credit it back to me. As soon as I had it back I changed the checking account in case they tried to debit it again. You can do the same thing.
i hear ya man this PC thing with you money isn't fun. Give the company a call and tell the situation and tell them what you wanted and you never got an approval #. if that dont help tell the back to fix it. with time you should have your money back. good luck.
I would contact the customer service for the company, where you tried to make the purchase and explain the problem and they might be able to cancel the second two and credit your account.
If that doesn't work, then contact your bank for help.
In the future do not attempt to purchase an items if you get an error. Instead it's a better idea to wait a while, then log into your online banking if you have access to your account and check to make sure that a transaction as not been posted against your account.
There might have been an explanation for the error, but if they were using a pop-up and you have your pop-ups blocked like most of us, you wouldn't have received it.
Yes, e-Commerce websites should re-do their sites to get away from using pop-ups and just display the approval or error on the page.
