If they do not have a judgment against you, they cannot call your work and tell them you owe money. It is an invasion of your privacy. They may call and try to verify how many hours you work or how much you make without saying why, but hopefully your boss will not give them any information. If she calls you again, tell her in no uncertain terms that if she calls you at work again you will report them to the attorney general for harassment and illegal collection techniques. Then do it if she continues.
If you owe money, the creditor has the ability to inquire about your employement and earnings.
