How does buying a foreign product hurt us?

It hurts us a lot and most people don't understand and that's why they buy foreign products. It hurts us because we don't get the tax revenue from the product. When you buy a product, that company makes a profit. Then they have to pay taxes on that profit. Now the government who taxed them gets revenue to use to help build their country. So basically you are helping build other countries when you buy foreign.
So some will argue that foreign cars are made here and parts are made over seas. When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter. The bottom line is the tax revenue for that country.
ALL CARS ARE FOREIGN! MANY "AMERICAN PARTS" ARE MADE OVER SEAS!! SILLY!

Because essentially it takes work away from the US. The car market is a HUGE factor in our economy.... But foreign cars tend to last longer and are more dependable, it's a catch 22.
Hurts our nation?
Hmmmmm...It seems if our nation made automobiles worth a $hit at a decent price then we would buy them.
There are too many "agreements" between "foreign" companies, anyway.
My Mazda has Ford parts in it and my Ford has Mazda parts in it.
The attitude, buy American is bull$hit Unionized crap!
So perhaps it isn't, buying a foreign product that hurts us, but the idea that just because we have a domestic product that it should be bought.
It's called global competition.
