You accepted the money, why are you not going to give him the tickets? If you recieved the payment but it wasn't as much as you'd hoped to get by auctioning then return his money and sell the tickets to the highest bidder.
Are you planning just to steal this poor guys money and hope there are no consequences!?
If you don't send them, then you are nothing but a common thief. Why on earth did you take his money?
If you posted the item with a BUY IT NOW feature then I would recommend sending the tickets, assuming his payment clears. Incidentally, what kind of tickets? Furthermore, even if he paid directly he may be able to seek some kind of settlement through Ebay in the future.
Why would you post that offer on e-bay if you refuse to send it over to the buyer? It will just mess up your selling record on e-bay!
Well yeh, 'cos that'd be theft. In going through a website to sell something, you've set up a contract. Whether or not the person goes through the usual channels to buy something, you have still agreed a sale through said website, and taken money for the goods (tickets in your case). You can still be taken to court overit, and banned from eBay etc. Why would you even think of holding onto something that you have legitimately sold? Don't become a thief. Just post the guy the tickets.
Just send the tickets and all will be alright - you reap what you sow - and one day someone is going to rip you off real good.
ebay's policy is not to sell items via direct contact. you would be better relisting them as a buy now then getting hime to buy them via that method. None of you have proof of the full transaction details, and this could cause all sorts of complications. He could also be a fraudster and withdraw his payment method, even if he has paid via paypal (this has happened to me) if you do it via the buy it now option and make sure you send the items registered post you will be ok as you have a guarantee. My case paypal had to shell out the money because i had proof of postage and a signature so the person was conning them i also reported it to the police.
First that would be VERY dishonest, second, Ebay could terminate you, and third, if you got your money why would you not want to HONOR your committement
You should NOT sell to people who just email you. Do it through EBay there are rules in place to protect both buyer and seller. If you have received the payment you must send the tickets or you could be done for theft. He may live abroad but he may have family or friends here who could pay you a visit.
You WILL REAP what you SOW!!!!
whats your ebay sellers name so i can make sure you dont take money from me.

by the way if you dont send the tickets paypal will refund him with your money , take the money back from your account and shut your ebay account until you can send them written confirmation you have sent the tickets.
No, no, no.

The buyer must either bid on your item or use the Buy It Now button (if you have that on the listing).

Presumably the 'buyer' paid you through PayPal, in which case refund the payment using the refund button on the PP transaction page. (Don't whatever you do use the 'send money' option.)

Your buyer could be genuine - in which case you can tell them that they can bid on your item in the normal manner (if you're happy with that - if not, block buyers from countries you don't post to by using 'preferences' on your ebay summary page).

Or your buyer could be trying to scam you - have you actually checked in your PP account to see if the money is there (does it show as 'completed').

Scammers send realistic-looking fake emails from 'ebay' and 'paypal' saying that the money is being held until you provide them with a tracking number - it doesn't work like this.

Even if the money is in your PP account, you could still; find you're subjected to a 'chargeback' (ie, it turns out that the payment was made using a stolen card and PP take the money back from you - tough, but that's how they work).

You must sell the item properly (either an auction ending with a winning bidder or a BIN) to have any chance of protection at all on ebay.

(By the way, all the above takes the charitable view of what you've said - if you're actually intending to keep the money and the tickets, you deserve all you get.)
you got to send the tickets if you got the payment
You are almost certainly getting set up. Refund the money and tell the buyer it has to go through eBay. You really have to think if international is worth it. I don't. Good luck.
