"To Do" list
Write down things you have to do, then decide what to do at the moment, what to schedule for later, what to get someone else to do, and what to put off for a later time period
Daily/weekly planner
Write down appointments, classes, and meetings on a chronological log book or chart.
If you are more visual, sketch out your schedule
First thing in the morning, check what's ahead for the day
always go to sleep knowing you're prepared for tomorrow
Long term planner
Use a monthly chart so that you can plan ahead.
Long term planners will also serve as a reminder to constructively plan time for yourself
VR
I make notes to myself of all the things I have to do. Whatever I think about I write down in that order. Then later, that night or in the morning before my workday starts I put all my things to do in the order that I want or need to do them. Good luck
You need to plan a timetable. However, make LEEWAY. This is how many people fail. For example, if you intend to do something for an hour, give an extra 15 minutes just in case you need it.
Give an extra hour or so for events like meetings.
Make sure you have that timetable all the time.
If you find out while planning that you cant squeeze things in, then perhaps you are trying to do too much!
And make use of all your time. For example, if you take the bus for 2 hours, then make sure youre doing something productive while travelling.
and prioritise your tasks. Thats of utmost importance. When you find yourself having free time, then go ahead and fill it in with the longer term "projects".
You need a timetable, no 2 ways about it!
