Do charity employees make a lot of money??
Answer:
Unfortunately, some of them do. They're usually the organization's CEOs, though, and not the lower-level workers. Remember the big United Way scandal in which the CEO was getting rich off of charity work?
Anyhow, try looking at http://www.charitywatch.org or http://www.charitynavigator.org. where charities are rated. They're looking for funny business, like people getting rich from so-called "charities".
i believe some of the very top people do, but the grunts,
who do all the donkey work, are lucky to get a dime
over minimum wage.
I was a secretary for a charity and I didn't make much at all. Only the senior management. A lot of us left because we could make so much more in the private sector. I think one has to be really dedicated to a charity to stay in that field.
