Its just that with housing prices so high, on paper people are worth more, and as a result spend more than they actually have in cash or annual income. Expect a decline for a little bit as a result of credit defaults and all that junk working itself out so we can get back to an equilibrium.for the whole cycle to start all over again.
Then we'll have a truely bad economy, then a truely good economy, then a flat economy, and so on.
