Has anyone been contacted by btw group who claim that they are debt collecting?

Answer:
No
No
But I once recieved a registered letter addressed to the occupier.I quickly took a note of the sendee and found out it was a debt collection company.I signed and printed "occupier" on the post office receipt .Maybe previous owners of your house were bad debtors or you might be a victim of id fraud..Suggest you ctc the CAB or Experian to chk your credit rating.
If u are sure you don't owe any debts ..don't give any details on the phone to anyone and be carefull when signing registered letters.
There are debt scams out there..

Good luck
