How do you make paper money look new?

I heard that you can iron dollar bills to make them look like they were just printed. Is this true? Is it legal in the U.S?

Yes, you can iron US Dollar Bills to make them look "newer" but making them look "just printed" depends on the amount of wear that the dollar has taken.

It is not illegal to clean your money. It may be considered strange to do though. Perhaps even obsessive.

I would suggest a 75% water, 25% clothes detergent to wash the dollar in. Iron the dollar and apply some starch.

Result. Nice crispy note.
