Could someone tell me what's the word in English for the code with a lot of lines on the back of any product?

Answer:
It is called the Univesal Product Code (UPC).

It is a 12-digit numerical number that identifies the product it represents.

The first digit tells you what category the product falls into (0 for general, 3 for drugs, 2 for local use, 5 for coupons) and so on.
it is called the barcode
its usualy called a bar code and sometimes a UPC label
It's commonly called a barcode but the proper name for it is the S.K.U., which stands for "Stock Keeping Unit." Stores use this barcode method both to automatically come up with the price at the cash register and to keep track of how much each item sells. The numbers under the lines identify the product. You can read more about this by clicking onto this link: http://onlinebusiness.about.com/od/faqa/. . That link will take you directly to SKU info. I hope this helps.
You are probably talking about the barcode which has been addressed by the other folks. However, if you are talking about a book you may be referring to the International Standard Book Number (ISBN). This is a 10 digit (moving to 13 digits this year)number that uniquely identifies books and book-like products published internationally.
