I withdrawn $20 from an ATM but $50 came out, would the bank know about this?

I also asked for a transaction receipt and it shown $20 was withdrawn but I got a $50. Would the bank know?

Answers:
It is unlikely. However, if they do know, it is an error in your favor. 9/10 banks will not charge you the money, as it was entirely their fault. Check your balance online, if you can, or walk in. See your last transaction; was it $20 or $50?
Yes they can ,they tally receipts and find discrepancies..
The ATM still is balanced like a cash drawer, so they will know it is short. The weird thing is when I did them you placed certain denominations in certain drawers. The ATM did not "know" what bills it was spitting out, just what drawer to spit it from. So your story indicates a 50 was in the 20 drawer. You may also want to know that they all, even back then, had cameras, so they may be able to see who got the extra $.
Who knows, but is it really worth the risk? It's $30. They might even let you keep it, and that way you get the $30 and a clean conscience. What a deal!
