A chance for revenge?

Today my bank took two duplicate payments for one debit card transaction due to an error and this made my account overdrawn - they said it was a country wide computer error so it may have happened to you as well (they did apologise profusely of course) - what I am asking is should I - and any others this happened to - send them an invoice mirroring the same charges they charge people when they go overdrawn and demand payment?

Answer:
You could do that but it wont do any good. They will just send a letter back or call you and tell you they don't do that. Then they will read off a bank policy from the policy and procedures manual. Which is the most stupidest thing Ive ever read and expect you to understand it. I was in banking for 15 years and never could believe that they would think a person would read it. But that's what they hope or you wouldn't open an account. Just be sure they give you back the correct amounts they owe you. Including any fees you were imposed by other places if you had checks bounce because of the error. I'm not saying an account is a bad thing just be sure to read all the fine print, you would be surprised what fees they can charge. Just be informed!!
why not ,bank charges are extortionate
f**k them the thieving f**ers
I would, simply due to the steep charges. Last time a single transfer got cleared in two transfers due to a fee, and cost me $70. Stick it to them.
go for it
Good thinking, if it works go ahead.
Go for it! hehe
