What is the procedure if a UK based company wants to employ a person living in India?

even if the company doesnt have a branch there is it possible?

Answers:
Hello..

It's possible but not very straight forward. Your company must be trading for sometime and must have decent commercial records.

You need to prove that you cannot find a British or EU National. This can be done by advertising in a national newspaper. **Keep the records of newspaper ads"

That's it,,, if you can prove the Indian staff is the ideal one and you cannot find a relevant person in the UK,,, that's it, the government department "Working In UK" will issue a work permit and he/she can apply for British Visa at a British Consulate in India.

HOWEVER, if you are having an Indian restaurant, or Indian specialist business which requires an Indian person, you don't need to prove anything.. much more straightforward.

Hope this helps...

Best wishes
