what is the income you need to have to have food stamps

Answer:
for one person, you need to be making less than $798/mo. for 2, it's less than $1,070, and it goes up from there. If your friend's family is a family of 3, they need to be making less than $1,341 take-home per month.

You also need to have less than $2,000 in assets, and only one home and one car. Plus, if your car is worth over $4,650, the amount over and above that counts against your $2,000 asset limit. Benefits under supplemental SSI or TANF don't count towards your income. There are also lots of little deductions and such not. I linked you to the USDA Food Stamp eligibility page, so check it out.
Correct answer:

NO MONEY>thats why they have foodstamps.its fake food money.
low income...I forgot the percentage and it does vary by state. it would be best to call your local department and find out what are the requirements to receive food stamps
depends on how many kids, but its low.
Contact your local state dept of family assistance, or whatever it's called in your state; they sign you up for all the programs you're eligible for (federal & state) based on your income.
