That depends on how much money you have to start with. If your starting from nothig, it may take a while. On the other hand you did not stipulate how much income. You can buy a stock (just one share will do it) that pays a dividend every month. As long as you get it before the xdividend date, you will get the dividend pay out from that point on. It won't amount to didly squat but you have a pasive income and you have it with in about a month. If you want more than a few cents, get more stock
