How long does it take for an e-cheque to clear when you have sold something on e-bay uk?

hey there it's usually ten working days but please do not send any items until the cheque has cleared as the buyer can then cancel the cheque and you will recieve no money.That happened to me and all i got was a measly 10p final value credit from e-bay!
It takes about 2 weeks.

10 -15 working days.. its ridiculous
