Ebay Scammers-there have been warnings to watch for scammers on Ebay who are now trying to sell high end bikes

which do not exist.
I have just had trouble trying to bid on and purchase 2 Trek bikes.
Anyone else have problems with Ebay.
Who can you trust anymore>

Answers:
I know. You just can't trust nameless, faceless user names like you used to. Hint: use a store.
Well, I'm not sure about bike selling on eBay, but I sell all kinds of stuff on there. The best way to not get scammed is to look where the item is coming from. I personally do not buy anything from overseas. Especially Nigeria! They scam all the time and steal credit card information from people all over the world! If you want to buy the bike, the best thing I would do is find a local dealer who is authorized to sell the bikes and buy from them. Then you don't have to pay shipping fees.
I have been scammed a couple of times when I first started with E-bay. I changed all my info and now I only work with people who have more than a thousand transactions and at least a 99% rating. Check out their feedback and see if they have any complaints listed against them. Email the seller and see who gets back to you and if they ask for any personal information, drop them like a hot rock.
