On March 19, 2006, I purchased a Canon video recorder (Model: MV 830i) from you. Between those periods, I have sent it 3 times to the customer service department for repair because of a faulty switch. On the last visit, the customer service representative said that the particular area was prone to such fault and he promised the last time, that the manufacturer has rectified it. Two months later, to my dismay the same fault still exists. Presently, my video camera warranty has expired. I contacted the customer service department by phone about the problem on May 2, May 15, and May 20. I mentioned that the problem was due to the manufacturer’s fault. On each of those occasions, the customer service representative explained that it was not possibly the manufacturer’s fault and nothing that they can do. present the evidence to the company again, and threaten to take it to the better business bureau if they do not resolve the problem. You should have documentation that the same problem has reoccured and not been properly fixed while under warranty, right? I have done this several times, and (as far as I can remember) every time I pulled the better business bureau card on a reputable company (that, or threatening to take them to court, even small claims court), I have gotten what I wanted from them. I've never actually had to get to the point where I actually sued them or filed a report with the bbb, but it is effective. The squeaky wheel gets the grease :) Don't give up till you get what you deserve! A big company like Canon should be willing to level with you. Good luck!
contact the better business burea, they can't help alot but they take the complaints and if there seems to be alot they investigate.
