All American Gold? USA Gold? Whats the deal with shopping clubs?

They all offer garaunteed approval and no interest on purchases ( its all on their products) but a high fee of $150/year to have the card, but considering there is no interest it doesnt sound all that bad. Anyone tried one of these? Is their stuff crap?

Answer:
Do not fall for this one, it's obviously a trap. What they're basically doing is charging you for the 'privilege' of buying their inventory. It makes sense to join a club like this if you want to buy things in quantity, but that's it.

I was almost suckered into this deal 10 years ago when my credit score was abysmal, the thought of having a credit card especially a 'gold card' would make it easier to rent cars, travel for business etc. but this is not a real credit card.

If your credit is as bad as mine was there are other tricks you can try. Probably the easiest is to open accounts where they won't turn you down, like a gym membership, a loan for a karate class etc. Pay them down, make sure you pay your utilities regularly and just wait. Your credit score will improve dramatically with patience and discipline. Mine sure did.

Soon you'll get offers in the mail for real credit cards, not this obvious scam! Other Questions and Answers:
