Where can one get a credit card to enhance one's credit, when it is essentially very poor?
Answer:
best resource for this http://www.wesayes.com
The one indication of poor credit is that you cannot afford a credit card. Why pay annual fees plus interest and your purchase. Start out with a secured card for like $100 or so. Nobody will know it's secured but you and the bank. Check out www.bankrate.com for lenders and their rates/terms. Credit cards are great to have but not to use. For proof of that statement, check out the other questions here about people who are losing homes and filing bankruptcy. This is not a lecture but a fact from experience.
Try this place. There are no credit checks and it reports to all 3 credit agencies so you can build or rebuild your credit.

This will help. It's not much but it's the most you can get for bad credit. It really improves your credit. Hope it helps.
If you have a checking account at a bank often times you will be able to get a credit card from them even with poor credit. Get one with $100 - $500 and make sure to put something on it every month for a few months and PAY IT OFF. You can let a small balance sit for a month or so (can actually help your credit), but do NOT miss payments, and make sure to pay it off and not get yourself into a hole. That is the curse of credit cards. After a while most banks will automatically raise your limit some, if not ask for another $100 or so. It will take time, but usually is an effective way of getting a credit card and rebuilding your credit.
You may have to resort to a secured credit card unless you can find someone willing to add you as an authorized user, both of these methods will help you build credit. in the meantime you may want to consider adopting good credit habits, tips for raising your credit score can be found here:`
