Can I get a credit card with a score of 630 if I have never had a credit card?

If so, how high can I expect my limit to be?

Answers:
With a score of 630-- you fall into the 'fair to average' credit range. You can find a complete list of credit cards for 'fair to average' credit here:

Since you're on the 'border-line' of average credit-- it's hard to say what your credit limit might be. But my guess would be $1500-$3000.

There's also a wide variety of credit card offers for poor / no credit-- but I would probably try one of these offers first.

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!
with that kind of credit you can get alot of things. weather you've had a credit card or not.
you can definitely get a capital one card with at least a $500 limit.
U should me ok , try chase or bofa and it may be like 500 and up.. Good luck
630 isn't a great credit score, but you should still be able to get a credit card. you'll likely get stuck with one with a higher interest rate. the limit will probably be from $500-$1000, maybe slightly more, but it won't be very high. find out what companies can offer you because some may give you a better rate than others.
630 is good enough to qualify with many different banks. They will probably start you off with a 500 limit which can be raise quickly as long as you use the card, and then pay your bill down at the end of the month. A little secert to getting your credit limit raised fast is to leave a small balance on the card. Maybe 50$. The interest will be almost unnoticable but the bank will raise your limit fast if you do that.
You should, (notice the operative word SHOULD) be able to get approved for a credit card, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you will. Orchard Bank has a wide selection of credit cards for people trying to establish or reestablish their credit.

Another option would be to check where you do your banking to see if secured cards are offered there. How a secured cards works is that a deposit is put upfront usually in a savings account to get the same amount in a line of credit. You can add to the deposit periodically to raise the limit. Usually after a year of paying on time and not maxing out the card, the deposit isn't needed anymore and the card converts to a regular one. Orchard Bank also has secured cards in the event you're not approved for a regular card.
