Has anyone been asked by American Express to submit their IRS trascripts before getting their credit card?

It wouldn't suprise me if you were self employed. How can they verify income other than tax forms? If you have other ways of verifying employment I can't imagine that they would want to see tax forms unless you have some other income that is hard to verify that you are using to qualify.
