I have filed for chapter13 but I want to apply for a credit card. Can anyone please help me to find a good one
Answer:
First, you must check with your attorney as to whether you are allowed to open a credit card at this time -- even a secured card.
Second, in my experience handling credit and financial matters as an attorney, the best place to check on credit cards and other financing is <www.bankrate.com>.
Jeeeees! Don't go getting into credit cards if you're in Ch. 13! You still have to pay off your debts, you don't need MORE debt on top of it!
Save your money and pay cash.
You gotta be kidding! Why would anyone give you MORE unsecured debt while you're in the middle of throwing out of all of your existing unsecured debt? AND you want a cheap one??!!
If/when you apply for a credit card, there will probably be a question on the application "have you ever filed for bankruptcy?" How are you going to answer that?
Try to get a grip on the REAL world, honey.
Orchard Bank will be a good one to start helping build your credit.
My fiance got one with a $19 activation fee and $79 annual fee. Not bad for someone with bad credit. He was also approved with a $500 limit. When they tell you your limit, tell them to LOWER it to only $200 or $150 so you will not spend a lot.
The credit cards that we are paying off and keeping we are telling them to lower the limit to about $200 - $300 because not only will it not tempt you because of the low limit it is hard to get into trouble with a low limit! :-)

They have credit cards for people with bad credit and because of your bankruptcy you have bad credit.
You also should know NOT to use the card AT ALL, just let the zero balance (after you pay off the annual fee) sit there and look good. If you WANT you can buy something that is under $10 every month and then pay it off when the bill comes in you can do that too.
Most credit card companies wont give you credit till at least 18 months after your filed your chap. 13..but there are websotes out there where you may get lucky, just remember use cation when appling.
you did,nt learn you lea son what is your problem
