Any body ever got a credit card from like AMex , Discover, Sears after filing bankruptcy?

Answer:
yes
Sure. Depends on who you stiffed when you filed. Also, how long it has been since your filing was approved, as well as your progress in rebuilding your credit.
Some, like Sears, will hold a grudge and will not ever issue you credit again. Others, like Citibank and Providian, did give someone I know new credit cards after a few years.
I read that American Express will not approve to open an account if you have a bankruptcy on your credit report. But there are many others that will. There is Orchard Bank, Juniper Bank, and First Premier. I would recommend the Orchard Bank Mastercard because even though it comes with an annual fee of $29 to $79, it doesn't have other fees such as membership monthy fee, account opening fee, account setup fee, and internet fee like the First Premier Mastercard. I've had the Orchard Bank Mastercard for over a year and started out with a $300 credit line. Now a year later, it went up to $1,500 because I made all my payments on time and was never over my limit. They increased my limit even 6 months with no fee. The First Premier credit card charges a fee of $25.00 everytime they increase your credit line. That really stinks.
It will take time to rebuild your credit after bankruptcy, and your credit score should go up after everything is clear and reporting a 0 balance on your credit report. Check your credit report and make sure everything is being reported correctly.
And also check out the Orchard Bank Mastercard at the following website: WWW.ORCHARDBANK.COM.
Good luck.
Yeah- forget Sears- they really do hold a grudge. They still won't give me a card from a mistake I made in 1997. Not a bankrupcy, just a few late payments.
takes awhile.
if you want o rebuild get advice from consumer credit counselors or other similar agency.
start small.
Scout 485 was correct about Sears. JCpenny's won't either.
I would let new credit applications come 2 me and try like that.
if you start 2 apply soon after 'filing' that is a red flag 2 creditors.
wait a while, be patient and u will be able to build credit again.
