There are several jobs you can get, such as getting a job at a gas station, or a paper route.You could also work at a store, such as a grocery or store such as Target. Since it is summer, there are more jobs available for teens, such as working at the library, becoming a baby-sitter, or later in the summer, you could detassle corn. Just ask around to see what is available.
Have a lemonade stand. Wash cars. Sell stuff on ebay. Start a business. Mow lawns.
Mug old ladies. (jk) :)

I don't think that anyone really payed any attention to you when you stated that you are just now a teen. Which would probably mean that you are maybe 13-14 years old. There isn't much that you can do in the area of retail but i would recommend that you should start out with asking family members and friends if there are things that you could help out with. Babysitting, selling unused clothes to resale shops, doing your chores and even helping the neighbors with their chores. Also try to find the elderly in your neighborhood to help out with things around their house. They are usually the ones that need the most help. Be kind and gentle with them and they will welcome you around all the time. Good Luck!
